Cultivating Transformative Leaders for a Resurgent Africa
At ImpactAfrica, we firmly believe that the crisis of leadership is at the very root of Africa’s challenges, and, critically, that the solution lies in a profound leadership reconstruction. Our Leadership Development program is therefore a strategic cornerstone of our mission, deeply committed to addressing this deficit by cultivating both robust leadership values and practical skills in every young person. We are dedicated to building the capacity of each youth to lead effectively—be it in their classrooms, families, communities, or within organizations. We are convinced that by redefining leadership and nurturing a fresh breed of transformative leaders, we can collectively rewrite the African story, fostering an Africa free of corruption and led with unwavering integrity.
We accomplish this through a multi-faceted approach, offering comprehensive leadership training for churches, organizations, and individuals, ensuring our reach extends across various spheres of influence.
Our Flagship Leadership Development Initiatives
2. History Makers Training (Annual Mentorship Program)
The History Makers Journey (HMJ) is a one-year annual program run with the objective of equipping 20 passionate and visionary young people. The 20 carefully selected youths are a product of a rigorous selection process from countrywide applicants.
The focus of the training is:
- To help young people become more confident and clear about their vision and purpose.
- To help with a professional strategic planning process for young visionaries that facilitates the growth and establishment of young talent and leadership.
- To provide aligned mentoring and guidance that grows young visionaries.
- To create a network of young leaders and visionaries for the cross-pollination of ideas and resources.
- To provide experiential and professional teachings and leadership from other successful leaders.
Applications to the HMJ open in July and close in October, and the class is established by November.
There is nothing as powerful as walking with a network of young people who dream as big as you do. In a single year, young visionaries have an opportunity to grow their dreams intentionally and objectively. They set goals, pursue them, and track their growth alongside our staff teams and their mentors.

ImpactAfrica Mozambique Mission Trip 2026
30 Youths. 6 Days. A Lifetime of Impact.
Step beyond your comfort zone and be part of a life-changing mission experience in Inchope, Chimoio, and Beira, Mozambique, from 7–12 December 2026.
The ImpactAfrica Mozambique Mission Trip is an exciting opportunity for young people to serve communities, grow in leadership, deepen their faith, and build lasting friendships across borders.
Participants will engage in community service, sports outreach, leadership training, church ministry, evangelism, development projects, cultural exchange, and exciting excursions—making a real difference while experiencing personal transformation.
For an investment of just US$75, participants receive accommodation, meals, and transport within Mozambique.

1. Impact Business and Leadership Conference (IBLC)
Launched in 2008, the Impact Business and Leadership Conference (IBLC) is our signature annual event designed to empower young leaders through a unique blend of organizing, serving, and learning. Positioned as a top-tier executive conference, IBLC is intentionally held in a business-centric setting to immerse participants in an environment of professional excellence. The conference consistently attracts globally renowned speakers and thought leaders from across the world, who impart invaluable wisdom, knowledge, and strategic advice to our aspiring young leaders. Additionally, successful young leaders are invited to share their inspiring testimonies and practical experiences, providing relatable insights and motivation. This power-packed one-day conference regularly draws over a thousand attendees, creating a dynamic forum for intellectual exchange and networking. Past speakers have included influential figures such as Dr. Nigel Chanakira, Dr. D. Mboweni, Dr. Shingi Munyeza, David Isgrove (UK), Dr. Joe Bonga (Kenya), Mudiwa Hood, Chipo Mutasa, and Eugene Peters, among many others, all contributing to a rich learning experience designed to equip leaders for real-world impact.
3. ICY Springdale College Diploma Scholarships
As part of our commitment to holistic leadership development, ImpactAfrica proudly serves as the link partner for the International Christian Youthworks (ICY) Springdale College Diploma Scholarships in various African countries. These diplomas offer a powerful combination of leadership knowledge, business acumen, entrepreneurship skills, and a practical community project. This integrated approach ensures that our young leaders are not only theoretically sound but also equipped with the hands-on experience necessary for practical leadership and community transformation. We facilitate two intakes annually for this program, through which over 430 youths and youth workers have already benefited in less than two years, further expanding the pool of capable and ethical leaders across the continent.
4. Africa Leadership & Mentoring Renaissance (Upcoming Initiative)
The ImpactAfrica Leadership Renaissance Programme (LRP) is a transformational 10-month leadership journey designed for young people aged 18–35 who are passionate about making a lasting impact.
Through world-class leadership training, spiritual formation, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and hands-on community engagement, participants are equipped to discover their purpose, develop their potential, and lead with excellence.
